EzProxy - Off Campus
The EzProxy link provides you with access to the following online resource databases off-campus:

  • Summon
  • IBISWorld
  • EBSCO Databases
  • ProQuest eBooks
  • IGI Global

To login to the EzProxy you will need to use your KOI Domain username and password. The KOI Domain classifies as the login you use for KOI computer access / WiFi / Print / Ezproxy. You will need to ensure your password for this account has been set up.

Note: If you are using the Moodle mobile app, we recommend clicking the EzProxy link to access the databases listed above or login to Moodle on your browser.

Summon - All-In-One Search
This is a combined database that can be used as a starting off point to search KOI's available resources. The databases in the All-In-One Search have different restrictions, and some may not be accessible directly through the All-in-One Search.

If you are having difficulty accessing the resources through All-in-One Search, we recommend using the direct links for the resources below. You can generally find the information for the database the resource is from on the right-hand side of the screen when you try to access the resource. Recommended for an overview of collection.

EBSCO Databases
EBSCO contains peer-reviewed academic journals and articles. EBSCO databases is a premium online information resource with that provides access to:

    • Business Source Complete
    • Education Source - Recommended for TESOL
    • Computers & Applied Sciences Complete. - Recommended for Information Technology
    • Regional Business News

Emerald Insight (Recommended for Business and Management)
OPEN ACCESS CONTENT ONLY - Emerald Insight is one of the leading digital publishers, with a number of journals and books available for open access. To access available resources in Emerald Insight, go to the Advanced search option and select Only Open Access from the access type drop down menu. 

IBISWorld 
IBISWorld is a major provider of Australian and global industry research. It has collections of information on Industry Marketing Research, Industry Risk Ratings and Company Research. Recommended for Business
To access IBISWorld off Campus, you will need to you will need to login through the EzProxy Link. Follow the above instructions for the all in one search login, once logged in click the link for IBISWorld to be taken to the IBISWorld page.

IGI Global Databases (InfoSci®-Books and InfoSci®-Journals)

InfoSci®-Journals is a database of 27,000+ peer-reviewed journal articles, with 1,000,000+ citation references. InfoSci®-Books is a world-class database of over 5,900+ reference books containing over 105,000 chapters focusing on emerging research across 350+ topics in 11 core subjects including Business and Management; Computer Science and Information Technology; and Education. Recommended for All Subjects.
To access the resources, you will need to use the following login information:

ProQuest eBooks (Recommended for All Subjects)
ProQuest is an Online eBook library that provides full access to a vast collection of eBooks from major academic publishers. A number of prescribed textbooks are available on ProQuest. Please check the Prescribed Texts List or your subject course page for information as to whether your textbook is available on ProQuest. 

An account is not required to access ProQuest. If you are being taken to a login screen, try closing ProQuest and clearing browser history .

 

O'Reilly Learning Videos & Books (Recommended for Information Technology)

  • Known for best-in-class programming books with the famous woodcut animal covers, O’Reilly has been a major force in providing premier technology and business transformation knowledge. 
  • The O’Reilly for Higher Education digital platform includes nearly 44,000 book titles and more than 30,000 hours of video.  
  • Topics range from programming to IT networking to project management to graphic design to business strategy. 
  • The content includes code snippets, certification preparation materials, practice exercises, training videos, and much more. Users can search thousands of books simultaneously online, saving time and quickly finding the information they need.  
  • There are also proven learning paths, case studies, interactive tutorials and audio books. Users also get access to exclusive O’Reilly content and as well as resources from more than 200 of the world’s best publishers.

Print Book Catalogue
KOI's library catalogue, listing copies of physical books available for loan and various free eBooks that are able to be downloaded from the catalogue.

Google Scholar
Google's academic search database, that allows your to search across a wide range of disciplines for scholarly articles. Google Scholar is free to all but many of the articles are not available without a subscription. Some articles that you find here may, however, be available through EBSCO.

State Library NSW eResources
The State library has a number of eResource databases available, for better access to these resources, you will need a State Library Card. Membership to the State Library is free and is available to all International students with a NSW home address -  http://www.sl.nsw.gov.au/research-and-collections/get-library-card
